The story of Tenuta di Pietra Porzia, agriturismo near Rome, is closely linked firstly to the events that characterized the ancient Roman Empire, then to the Vatican State and its immense properties in the Agro Romano (the rural area that surrounds Rome).
According to a plaque found in Frascati, in 200 BC the estate was owned by the gens Porcia, a large family of the Roman senate to which Marco Porzio Catone belonged. Later, he became a famous and important Roman agriculture historian.

Pietra Porzia is today an oasis of high quality food and wine relaxation a stone’s throw from the chaotic center of Rome.
Here you will stroll in silent tree-lined avenues, taste wines that recall the ancient ones and appreciate the perfect lunch with wine pairing.

After meeting with your exclusive Ambassador you will enjoy the charm of the walk along the avenues immersed in the vineyards and in the landscape overlooking Rome. We will tell you the story of the company, the family and the wines up to the arrival of the ancient spring: a unique and mysterious place that sums up the volcanic origin of these territories. Here we will taste the first of the wines for tasting, accompanied by our extra virgin olive oil.
We will return, always on a walk, to the winemaking, bottling and storage rooms and during the walk you will be told about the entire production and winemaking process.

The visit then ends with a tour of the old cellar where you can admire the company’s ancient caves. The subsequent tasting in the cellar includes the tasting of the following types of wine: Frascati DOC, Frascati Superiore DOCG Gold Label, DOC Roma Rosso Gold Label. The tasting will be accompanied by our EVO Oil and cheeses.
Your lunch of perfect pairing with wines will then be served at the farmhouse, followed by a moment of “digestive” relaxation with massages or meditation.

Our vineyards unravel on a plot of land of volcanic origins, once part of the lake Regillo bottom. It means extremely fertile soils and a unique microclimate.
Frascati Doc and Docg Regillo come from vineyards owned by the company, planted with the ancient local native vines (Malvasia puntinata del Lazio, Greco, Bombino, etc.). This allows us to obtain the real, ancient Frascati wine, with its great structure and strong fruity aromas, intensified by the steel vinification at a controlled temperature, by low sulfites quantity (less than half of what is permitted by law, hence less than organic wines), and by the special ecological cultivation.

The Regillo Docg Cannellino comes from a late harvest of Malvasia del Lazio Puntinata vine.

The Castelli Romani Rosso is obtained with Montepulciano, Cabernet, and Merlot.

The Lecino Doc Rome is absolutely unique for the presence of Lecinaro, an ANCIENT VINE RECENTLY REDISCOVERED that has an intense aroma of cocoa and cherries in alcohol.

A true FARM-TO-TABLE, ORGANIC cuisine

  • “Endless” starters: porchetta di Ariccia, “norcineria Cilia” raw ham, velletrana loin, spicy Roman esplanade served with homemade rosemary focaccia. Semimature sheep’s cheese, buffalo ricotta and spiced marzolino with wildflower honey, buffalo mozzarella from the Pontine countryside. Artichokes and broccoli fried in batter, cacio e pepe fried pizza dough, suppli mignon, beans with pork rinds and flavored bread, tripe alla romana with mint and pecorino cheese, bruschetta with butter and anchovies..
  • First course: Tonnarello (water and flour) Amatriciana OR Paccheri alla gricia
  • Main course: Saltimbocca alla romana, with Castelli Romani red wine reduction
    or Coda alla vaccinara
  • Side dishes: Sauteed chicory – Baked potatoes
  • Dessert: Classic tiramisu with red wine donut.
    Coffee and artisanal laurel liqueur.

Each course is paired with a different Pietra Porzia wine.

Each product is fresh and made with local products.
After lunch, the experience ends with: massages or meditation.
