Over the course of 7 generations, the Zonin family has built an indelible bond with its native land in Veneto and with wine, devoting all its energy and passion to making a dream come true. The history of Albola might well begin with the account in the Dizionario del Granducato di Toscana (1841): ‘There is a stretch of countryside actually called Albola that is renowned for its vineyards, from which perhaps the best wines of Chianti are obtained.’ The origins of Albola, vanish amidst the myths of Proto-Villanovan civilization but it is certain that the place-name dates back to Etruscan times, centuries before the Roman Empire.
