When the Greeks were Here – Magna Grecia

Dear Visitor,
today with your private guide you will go to Paestum. It was founded by the Greeks around 600 BCE, initially called Poseidonia, by Poseidon, or Neptune, god of the sea, and years later renamed Paestum by the Romans.  Within its walls still preserves temples and buildings in excellet state of conservation like the Temple of Nettuno, the Roman Basilica, the Forum, the Agorà, the Amphitheater, the Tomb of the Diver,  bathouses and many archaeological treasures. Going back to your hotel you will have a stop  at Vietri sul Mare, this small town is famous for its ceramics arts and craft. Take your time for a walk between the laboratories and shops and enjoy a glass of “Limocello”.
