when you arrive to Milan you can’t miss a trip into the historical and artistic heart of the city. The facade of the Duomo is a set of pillars, spires and statues in marble of Candoglia. The marble blocks were transported for hundred kms on the river from the cave to Milan. The “Last Supper” is not properly a fresco because Leonardo painted it with a mixed technique but the result is amazing. It shows the final meal of Jesus Christ with the twelve Apostles.
